Blackburn Rovers will face Wolverhampton Wanderers on the opening day of the Premier League season on August 13.

The new fixture list, released today, pits Rovers against the team who they beat twice last season, including a 3-2 win away on the crucial final game of last season.

First away game for Steve Kean's men will be at Aston Villa on August 20, followed by a home game with Everton on August 27.

Other key fixtures are tough trips to Liverpool on Boxing Day and Manchester United on New Year's Eve.

And there's a daunting end to the season in a trip to Chelsea's Stamford Bridge.
