FOOTBALL fans throughout the land will be poised by their computers or phones tomorrow morning when the new season’s fixtures are released.
Unusually, the fixtures are released on a Friday this year, with all the schedule for the Premier League, Championship, Division One and Division Two clubs made public at 9am.
Blackburn Rovers fans will be without a Lancashire derby this season following Blackpool’s relegation but have three new clubs to face in Swansea City, Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City.
Burnley will renew acquaintances with Red Rose rivals Blackpool. However, with Brighton and Hove Albion, Southampton and Peterborough United coming up to the Championship, and West Ham United coming down from the Premier League, Clarets fans will be clocking up the miles.
Accrington Stanley will also be facing long stints on the team bus with new League Two opposition in Dagenham, Bristol Rovers, Plymouth, Swindon, Crawley and Wimbledon. They have lost North West clashes against relegated Stockport County and promoted Bury.
The highlights of the fixtures for Rovers, Clarets and Stanley will be online at 9am with the full cut-out-and-keep guides in the newspaper on Saturday.
