BURNLEY boss Eddie Howe has re-shaped his backroom staff by being reunited with former Bournemouth coach Jason Blake and appointing scout Bryan Glover from West Ham United.
Blake will operate alongside Howe and assistant manager Jason Tindall, following the departure of first team coach Stuart Gray and development squad/reserve team coach Ashley Hoskin at the end of last season.
The 34-year-old will specifically work closely with the club’s young professionals and reserves.
Glover has been brought in to support chief scout Tim Henderson.
He has worked within the Hammers’ Academy set-up, assisting in the development of Michael Carrick and Joe Cole, and more recently first team stars including Mark Noble, Freddie Sears and Zavon Hines.
Of Blake, who worked with Howe at Dean Court after spells as a youth team coach with Southampton and Reading, the Burnley boss said: “He’s someone I’m delighted to bring to the club.
“He will bring enthusiasm and dedication to the job, so hopefully it will be the start of an exciting time for him.
“He has had the experience of running the centre of excellence at Bournemouth and he was a big part of the team down there.
“Jason’s main strengths are working with young players and developing them.
“The young professionals will be his working area and he will be hopefully developing future players for the club.”
Of Glover, Howe added: “Bryan has a long history in the game and worked for a long time at West Ham.
“He played a huge role in bringing through many of their excellent young players.
“He was part of their successes so again we are delighted to have him on board as part of the team.
“Scouting and recruitment is an area we are working very hard to improve.
“Tim works extremely hard and to add another one to that team will benefit him and the club going forward.”
