ACCRINGTON Stanley hope to bring in ‘four or five’ players this summer - and they will look into the possibility of another loan deal for Burnley defender Kevin Long.
Stanley are optimistic of keeping most of their squad together after receiving positive indications from a number of players over contracts, even if only Ian Craney is currently tied to a deal for next season.
New signings will still depend on who leaves but Stanley are already keen to increase competition at centre back.
The Reds are in contact with former Everton youngster Mark Hughes, whose release from Australian side North Queensland Fury came too late for them to do a deal in January, and they are also keen on bringing Long back on loan.
“We're looking to bring four or five in,” said assistant boss Jimmy Bell.
