BLACKBURN Rovers have failed in attempts to bring Hull City’s Adam Pearson to Ewood Park as their restructuring of the club continues this summer.
Hull’s head of football operations had been linked as a potential director of football at Rovers in recent days, but the Lancashire Telegraph now understands he rebuffed interest last month.
Sources close to Pearson claim Rovers were offering him the chance of being the new chairman, after John Williams’ departure as chief in February.
Pearson has been chairman of both Hull and Derby in the past and is currently working closely with Tigers boss Nigel Pearson in his new role.
Paul Hunt was appointed deputy chief executive at Ewood Park last month arriving from Leicester City.
