HASLINGDEN veteran Mike Ingham maintained his astonishing run of form with the bat for the Lancashire Over 50s as he made an unbeaten 66 for the Red Rose.
Ingham, the Lancashire League’s all-time record run scorer, was in fine form and his knock helped Lancashire to pile up a daunting 280-4 from their 45 overs against the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board at Cuckney CC.
As Nottinghamshire replied, veteran Central Lancashire League bowler John Punchard claimed three wickets and Earby’s Stephen Hipgrave claimed one as Nottinghamshire went close but eventually fell 12 runs short.
Ingham’s average in his 12 games for the Over 50s is now an incredible 98.43 and he will look to maintain that stunning run of form on Wednesday when Lancashire play Yorkshire in the Roses match at Atherton CC.
The two sides are sharing the lead of the ECB50 Group One with three wins each.
