BACUP and Burnley were the big winners as five games in the SponsorBank Lancashire League were abandoned without play.
Leaders Bacup won an incredible game against Colne by two wickets to take a 10-point haul.
Chasing a target of 144, Bacup needed 11 for victory in the final over of the game.
Up stepped 18-year-old Scott Thompson. With eight runs needed from the last three balls, Thompson managed two runs and then a boundary. And then he drove in the two runs needed off the last ball to win the game - leaving him to be mobbed by his team.
Burnley, including Jimmy Anderson, stayed in contention with a 10-wicket win over Todmorden.
