CLITHEROE booked their place in the next round of the FA Cup with a comfortable victory at Atherton.
They started the match strongly, and went ahead in the first minute when Owen Roberts scored a penalty after Craig Sargeson had been brought down.
The game was as good as over midway through the first half when Jason Jones forced the ball home after a goalmouth scramble.
Clitheroe continued to dominate with the makeshift centre-half partnership of Greg Anderson and Simon Garner looking solid.
And debutant Irish keeper Alan Fitzpatrick made his mark when he saved a penalty in the second half.
The third goal came in the final minute when sub James Dean, another debutant for the Blues, burst through the defence and chipped the keeper from 20 yards.
