BLACKBURN Rovers Supporters Trust has welcomed the news that Rovers have continued the tradition of offering one of the cheapest season tickets in the Football League.

A BRST spokesman said: “By sticking to the policy of the past few years, the owners and board have shown that, despite some major changes in the way the club has been run over the past few months, the fans remain at the heart of this football club.

“Rovers’ whole point of existence is for those people who turn up week in week out to watch their team, and the club must be applauded for keeping this in mind when deciding on season ticket prices.”

BRST’s working group is set to meet this week to discuss the next steps in formalising the trust.
