ROSSENDALE United manager Derek Egan hopes the league table tells Consett a few lies.

The Dark Lane chief believes his side's performances have belied their lowly position in the UniBond First Division.

Tomorrow's opponents Consett, meanwhile, are unbeaten and top of the Albany Northern League Division One.

"I hope they look where we are in our league because I think they will be surprised by what a good side we've got," Egan said.

"Consett are top of their league, very organised, quick in all departments and have a particularly fast forward.

"But, even though we are near the bottom of our league, we've been playing well."

Egan, who expects to welcome back Neil Zarac but is without Dave Eatock, added: "The FA Cup's important to everyone because of the prize money and the further you go the more it increases.

"We're not going to win the FA Cup but it's a great competition, even for non-league clubs at our level.

"We're all looking forward to it."
