CHESTERFIELD'S John Sheridan last night beat Accrington Stanley boss John Coleman to the League Two manager of the year award.
Coleman had been tipped by some to be in contention for the League Managers Association honour after guiding Stanley to fifth in League Two despite financial problems at the club during the season.
But instead it was Sheridan, who led Chesterfield to the League Two title, who emerged victorious.
