STEVE Kean insists Blackburn Rovers' 'best 45 minutes display of the season' saw the club get what they deserved at Molineux.
A stunning first half saw Rovers race into a 3-0 lead before Wolves' fight back after the break left the visitors' nerves jangling.
The 3-2 win saw both clubs survive in the top flight, at the expense of Blackpool and Birmingham City, and Kean insists Rovers were worthy of their win.
He said: "I thougt we were exceptional in the first half. It was probably our best 45 minutes of the season.
"We showed togetherness, an ability to stick together and a desire to win. I am very proud of everyone.
"I am over joyed for the supporters who have been first class and now it is onwards and upwards."
