DARWEN and Chorley were frustrated by the weather as their Northern Premier League games ended in draws on Saturday.

Darwen were well on course to beat Blackpool at Stanley Park as they chased down the home side's 167-7 with Alex Davies (82 not out) and Chris Clarke (46 not out) looking good.

But the rain came down to end their hopes.

Chorley were also on course for a win against Kendal as they were 15 runs away from their target with five wickets in hand when rain washed out four crucial overs and they closed seven runs adrift of victory on 165/6.
