BAXENDEN strenthened their position at the top of the Ribblesdale League as they thumped Clitheroe at Back Lane on Saturday while title favourites Read were frustrated by the rain.
Their game at Settle was abandoned.
Barnoldswick were winners in a tense finish to a rain-affected game with Oswaldtwistle, while Padiham's good run was ended by Earby and Whalley beat Salesbury.
Edenfield lost at Ribblesdale Wanderers and Cherry Tree's woes continued as they were beaten by Great Harwood.
