ACCRINGTON Stanley will not be making any panic buys ahead of tomorrow's transfer deadline.

Boss John Coleman revealed the club was talking to one or two players about a last-minute move to the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

And while he admitted he would like to bolster his front-line, he was not ready to offer just anyone a deal at Stanley.

Coleman said: "There's nothing happening at the moment but we're speaking to a couple of people. We're still a little bit thin on the ground in our striking options but apart from that I'm happy with the squad.

"I'm not going to be rushed into making any decisions."

Accrington have already added Sean Doherty, Julian N'Da, Jay Harris, Ashley Foyle, Joel Byrom and Ian Dunbavin to their squad, while goalkeeper Rob Elliot has signed on loan again from Charlton.

Another player Stanley have been linked with is Morecambe's versatile midfielder Dave Perkins who has handed in a transfer request as he looks for league football.

The 24-year-old has clocked up 150 conference starts for the Shrimps.

And Coleman said he was someone the club would be interested in.

"He's someone we would consider," he said.
