BLACKBURN clinched a top six spot out-going coach John Morgan was looking for with a wonderful five-try romp at Oldham.
The tries were shared out with five different scorers while Paul Bleasdale had his kicking boots on with five successful conversions.
Burn started at a cracking pace and took an early lead with Joe Holden jinking over.
A second try followed after 20 minutes when Richard Mauldsley powered in from 35 metres out.
The Ramsgreave Drive club underlined their dominance of the North Lancs/Cumbria division’s bottom side with a third try – Rob Parker and Joe Holden setting up Phil Hesk-eth to go in under the posts. Just before half time, Oldham finally got on the scoresheet with a try of their own.
But Blackburn came out looking to add more points in the second half and the impressive Liam Oldham touched down followed by a fifth try for Rob Parker – all of which were converted by Bleasdale.
Blackburn complete their season at Heaton Moor on Thursday.
