ROB Earnshaw has insisted that Nottingham Forest must revive their promotion hopes against Burnley tonight after a nine-match winless run has seen them slip out of the play-off places.

Forest had been second in mid-February but are now eighth – four points outside the top six and three points ahead of Burnley.

Earnshaw was a scorer in Saturday’s 4-3 home loss to Reading and the Welsh international striker believes too many mistakes have crept into their game in recent weeks – something he knows must stop if they are to overcome Burnley at the City Ground tonight.

“We’re not doing the little things that make us a top side, where we don’t concede goals, we stop the opposition from playing,” he said.

“If you concentrate for the whole game and stop the little mistakes, that’s the difference.

“We need to stop them now, we haven’t got time and we start with Burnley.

“There are still 18 points to play for and that’s what we have to concentrate on.

“None of us are giving up. We need to start winning.”
