ACCRINGTON Stanley goalkeeper Alex Cisak has been voted the ESPN PFA Fans’ League Two Player of the Month for March.
The Australian goalkeeper took the award ahead of Chesterfield’s Jack Lester and Gareth Ainsworth of Wycombe, and will be presented his prize ahead of a forth-coming home game at the Crown Ground.
Cisak, 21, enjoyed a superb March, keeping five clean sheets in eight appearances and conceding just three goals.
“I’m very happy to win the award, but also quite surprised because I didn’t think I’d win,” he said.
“We’ve been playing well as a team and we’ve been getting results and I think that’s helped me win this award.
“It makes it special that the fans have been voting. I want to thank them for voting for me, I’m really happy to have all their support and glad to win.”
