BLACKBURN were gifted the points after a moment of madness turned certain defeat in to victory.
The Ramsgreave Drive side were trailing 18-16 when a last-gasp, long range penalty fell short of the posts.
With time up, Didsbury only had to kick for touch to signal the end of the game but instead their player threw the ball out and was penalised.
With the offence virtually in front of the posts, Michael Jones kept his cool to slot the ball over and seal an unlikely win.
It was a dramatic end to what had been one of the worst games of the season.
Paul Millea had crossed for Blackburn’s only try of the game with Paul Bleasdale adding the extras.
Bleasdale added two more penalties before departing early with concussion.
Davies took over kicking duties and sealed victory when defeat was on the cards.
Blackburn are now up to fourth place in the North Lancs/Cumbria Division and coach John Morgan is hoping for a good end to the season to secure a top six finish.
