BURNLEY coach Getty Schinkel labelled his side’s dismal display at North Lancs Division Two leaders as the worst of the season ‘by a country mile’.
The Holden Road outfit were back at full strength and started well against a side who only beat Burnley by two points earlier in the season.
But once Aldwinians opened the scoring and Burnley lost influential prop Kelvin Barton, they lost all confidence.
“I really don’t know what happened,” said Schinkel. “We started really well and we were controllying the scrums. But when they scored our heads dropped and when Kelvin went off, we lost in the scrum.
“It was our worst performance of the season by a country mile.”
