ROSSENDALE United take to the field tomorrow as massive underdogs against Vodkat League Premier Division high-flyers Winsford United.
But the fact they are actually taking to the field at all is really something to celebrate after a troubled 10 days.
The very future of the 113-year-old club was thrown into doubt when the water supply to Dark Lane was disconnected and manager Paul Colgan walked out as a result.
Three games were called off as a result while owner Andrew Connolly was abroad and the Stags were warned they would be expelled from the league if tomorrow’s game did not take place.
But on his return he assured the Vodkat League the game with Winsford would go ahead with ex-players Chris Brooks and Jamie Baguley in charge of the team.
