MYTTON Fold’s golfers faced testing conditions as the leaders of both the winter singles league and winter pairs stumbled on the approach to the finishing tape.
In the pro’s league, leader Mick Walsh and second-placed Frank Hindle both failed to add to their scores, with third placed Mick Kelbie racing in on the rails with his fifth place finish.
In blustery conditions, Chris Chadwick, playing off a winter handicap of three, managed to shoot an excellent 35 points over the shortened 16-hole winter course.
Current winter pairs leaders, captain John Berry and secretary Dave Clegg, failed to add to their tally of points.
