ACCRINGTON Stanley midfielder Leam Richardson is taking advice from a specialist to find out how long he will be on the sidelines after a recurrence of the injury that almost forced him to retire last year.

The former Blackburn Rovers youngster nearly quit the game after being troubled by a persistent pelvic problem for two seasons, but he had largely been injury free during the current campaign.

The 31-year-old started Stanley’s draw at Stevenage two weeks ago but has now suffered a recurrence of the problem and will wait to discover how long he could be out for.
