Clitheroe and District Motor Club members David Wallbank and Terry Martin, below, have put in a late entry for this weekend’s Riponian Stages.
Wallbank is hoping the fuel problems that sidelined his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo5 on the recent Legend Fires North West Stages are a thing of the past.
Fellow Clitheroe members David Sunderland and John Marsh are also contesting the rally in a Ford Escort Mk1 as is former Blackburn businessman Malcolm Mawdsley in his rear-wheel drive Subaru Impreza.
Organised by Ripon Motor Sports Club and based in Thirsk the rally uses the forests around Helmsley on the fringe of the North Yorkshire Moors.
