ROQUE Santa Cruz is back in contention for Newcastle United's visit to Ewood Park tomorrow.

The Paraguayan international has been out since injuring his groin in the FA Cup defeat at Aston Villa but is now fit again.

Gael Givet and Phil Jones are still missing through injury but Kean otherwise has a fully fit squad.

Manager Steve Kean said: "There is a good chance we will see Roque. He trained yesterday and will train again today.

"This is a massive game for us and Newcastle United. We have always said we want to get to 40 points as soon as possible.

"We are creating a lot of good stuff and it just a case of being more aggressive when the other team have the ball and more ruthless when we do."
