LOVE him or hate him, El-Hadji Diouf will always attract attention.

Since departing Ewood Park on loan for Rangers on transfer deadline day, the controversial winger has already hit the headlines across the border.

Diouf labelled Celtic skipper Scott Brown a "nobody" following the weekend's Old Firm derby, with the midfielder today hitting back.

In response Brown has said,"I hear Diouf has been praising me in the papers. Nice guy that he is,", setting up a tasty reunion in the forthcoming replay.

On the field, Diouf was enjoying a good campaign for Rovers, with his early season form the best we have seen from him at Ewood Park.

Is his talent worth putting up with the trouble that inevitably follows hims round though?

Steve Kean obviously felt not and, with Diouf already criticising the new Venky's regime, don't be surprised to see him leave Ewood for good this summer.

Diouf relishes the controversy but you can't help but feel if he concentrated more on his football, he could have enjoyed a lot more success than he had in his career.
