Burnley manager Eddie Howe was pleased with his side's performance after their hard-fought 2-1 victory over Norwich.

Dean Marney put the home side ahead before Grant Holt equalised for Norwich but it was Jay Rodriguez who scored the winner nine minutes from time to dent Norwich's promotion charge.

Howe said: "Full credit to Norwich. They're a good side and made it very difficult for us in the second half.

"I thought in the first half we were excellent and put a lot of balls in their box.

"We didn't create an abundance of chances, but certainly had the balance of power.

"In the second half that changed, but full credit to us because when they equalised we came back with a second wind. It was great to see that second goal go in.

"We needed Lee Grant in the second half. He made good decisions, had good positioning, and made good saves. We're delighted with his performance.

"I have to say, the lads' heads didn't drop. In fact, once they equalised it was almost a case of the pressure being over and we could come into the game again.

"So then to score the second goal and see out the game the way that we did really pleased me."
