ROSSENDALE UNITED boss Paul Colgan reckons his Stags are at a turning point of their Vodkat League season – and reckons they can now kick on towards Premier Division safety.
Colgan has been in the Dark Lane hotseat since John Hughes left in October and the departure of club officials and repeated bad weather have made life difficult for the manager.
But he remains confident after bringing in a host of new faces.
“I’ve rebuilt the squad and I feel we are now at a turning point, and there are a lot of games still to be played,” said Colgan. “The big freeze took a lot of games away from us, but I think that has worked in our favour. It’s given the squad a chance to bond together.
“The second half of the season always changes, and I think in this league anyone can beat anyone. I’ve been watching a lot of games around the league and I do think the sides near the top of the league can be beaten.
“We just need to work a little bit harder in games and put chances away, and if we do that we’ve got a good chance of getting out of trouble.”
Rossendale – currently bottom of the table – travel to Ashton Athletic tomorrow.
