A LAST-minute equaliser by league leaders Winsford denied Barnoldswick Town an impressive win on the road.
Barlick appeared to be heading for all three points thanks to sub Michael Morrison’s 74th minute strike before Stuart Wellstead grabbed an injury time equaliser.
Barnoldswick took the game to their in-form hosts and striker Liam Garbutt was a thorn in the side of the homes afternoon.
He fired one early effort in to the side netting while Arron Hollindrake and Jordan Lewis also went close.
After the break, Garbutt forced home keeper Richard Mottram in to a point blank save before setting up Barlick’s goal, crossing for Morrison to score.
Town seemed to have weathered Winsford’s late onslaught before Wellstead poked home from close range.
