A YOUTHFUL Blackburn Rovers reserves side lost 3-0 to their more experienced Blackpool counterparts at Bloomfield Road this evening.
Former Rover Brett Ormerod hit two first half penalties, while substitute Liam Tomsett curled in a third goal before the break to put hosts in control.
Rovers fought throughout though and, with the oldest player for them just 18, gave a good account of themselves.
Midfielder James Knowles was particularly impressive as was left back Adam Henley.
Jamie Maclaren went close for Rovers a couple of times before the break while Tom Hitchcock was inches away from a late consolation.
