BURNLEY are down to 10 men for the third away game this season after Clarke Carlisle was giving his marching orders with only seven minutes on the clock.
Referee Keith Stroud has made many debatable decisions in this half, not least giving the central defender his marching orders for the first tackle in the game. At worst, it was mis-timed, as Carlisle clipped Jimmy Abdou somewhat innocuously on the touchline.
It was a definite free kick, but Burnley were outraged at being a man down.
Nevertheless, they rode a Millwall storm as Brian Jensen made saves from Steve Morison and Chris Hackett, and went on to take the lead through a firm Jay Rodriguez header.
Chris Eagles dug out a cross, and the Burnley-born striker rose high to score his second goal of the season.
But Scott Barron equalised for Millwall in the 26th minute after Theo Robinson flicked on Morison's left wing cross.
Jensen got a hand to it, but it wasn't enough to turn it wide. However, the Danish goalkeeper made a key save on the stroke of half-time to keep out Alan Dunne's downwards header.
