AFC Darwen slipped to defeat in Vodkat League Division One as two first half headers were decisive.
On each occasion, Darwen keeper Adam Chester was just beaten to the punch as first Wayne Brotherton headed home in the 18th minute and Jonathan Barrass did likewise on the half hour.
In between, Darwen had their chances to equalise with Lee Turner denied by Leigh Miller in the Norton goal.
After the break, Darwen were dealt a blow when Kiel Lonsdale was sent off.
But they pulled one back with a Kieran Wood penalty but it was too little to late.
