LEE Gaskell scored a hat-trick as Ramsbottom climb-ed to second place in the Vodkat League Premier Division after an incredible eight goal thriller at Winsford.
The Rams were ahead within five minutes when Phil Dean scored from close range before Lee Gaskell made it 2-0 on 15 minutes after latching on to a cross from Dean.
Joel Pilkington nearly made it 3-0 before Winsford pulled a goal back through Thompson right on the stroke of half time.
The home side were on level terms on the hour when Stewart hooked home from close range but a minute later, the Rams had a chance to regain the lead only for Gaskell to have his penalty saved. But with 12 minutes remaining, Michael Morrison applies the finishing touch to a cross from Dominic Smalley to make it 3-2.
Gaskell made it 4-2 on 80 minutes, volleying home a cross from Bernard Morley, then completed his hat-trick in the last minute.
