BRETT Emerton's injury-time winner has given Blackburn Rovers their first away win of the Premier League campaign at Blackpool.
Matt Phillip's 85th minute equaliser looked to have earned Blackpool an unlikely point at Bloomfield Road as Rovers were again made to pay for their wastefulness.
Charlie Adams' freak own goal handed Rovers the half time advantage in this afternoon's Premier League Lancashire derby.
The Scot headed past his own goalkeeper from four yards out and under no pressure on 21 minutes after El-Hadji Diouf's cross had been flicked on by Nikola Kalinic.
But, with Rovers well in control, substitute Phillips hammered home the equaliser with just minutes remaining.
Chris Samba headed against the post for the visitors in the first half and also had a goal disallowed in a game that swung from end to end.
Michel Salgado had earlier headed Ian Evatt's header off the line for Rovers, while Kalinic drove inches wide in the dying seconds of the half
After the break, Rovers continued to look the more dangerous of the two sides, with El-Hadji Diouf pulling the strings.
Phil Jones twice went close from Diouf crosses, one shot a back post header that was brilliantly saved by Gilks.
At the other end Brett Ormerod turned the ball wide from a tight angle as Paul Robinson remained untested.
Adam should levelled with 15 minutes remaining though as he headed back across goal from just yards out.
Paul Robinson then came to Rovers rescue with two saves from Taylor-Fletcher and Adam, but he could do nothing about Phillip's equaliser on 85 minutes.
Diouf again proved the tormentor though as his shot was blocked in the dying seconds and substitute Brett Emerton steered home the winner.
