In the Vodkat League Premier Division there is a second versus third clash as Ramsbottom United make the trip to Cheshire to face impressive Winsford United.

Ramsbottom moved into third place in midweek with their 1-0 win over Squires Gate in midweek.

With the exception of the injured Jon Robinson the Rams have a full squad to select from and joint manager Bernard Morley said: “The hard decision is which players to leave out - and that is a great position to be in.”

Colne are having a good season and they look to maintain their start tomorrow when Congleton Town visit Holt House.

It is another big game in the division as Nigel Coates’ men are in fifth and entertain the fourth-placed Bears in what promises to be a corking clash.

Barnoldswick Town are finding their feet in the Premier Division and face Formby at the Silentnight Stadium, while Bacup Borough are on the road to Flixton.

Borough beat Padiham in the second round qualifying on the FA Vase on Wednesday night, coming through 3-1 after extra time in the replay, and the Storks will look to recover from that setback when they go to Atherton LR/ Rossendale United are also in action tomorrow as they look to topple Stone Dominoes at Dark Lane.

In the First Division AFC Darwen are having a decent start to life back in the pyramid and will look for another win when they make the trip to Staffordshire to face Norton United.

“It’s another tough game as we continue to learn,” said boss Kenny Langford. “The majority of our players have not been at this level before and they are trying to find their feet.

“But it’s good and we are enjoying it.”
