ADAM Bogdan says he’s not bothered about the abuse which will pour down from the Turf Moor terraces – because he probably won’t understand it anyway.
The stand-in Wanderers goalkeeper will make his last appearance against Burnley before Jussi Jaaskelainen returns to action after completing a three-match ban.
The young Hungarian has caused quite a stir since being thrust into the limelight, not least because of his ginger hair and bright orange kit which has seen him dubbed ‘Wotsit’ by opposing fans.
But Bogdan has taken it all in his stride and is hoping to sign off in style in tonight’s Carling Cup third-round clash.
And the 22-year-old says any insults from Clarets supporters are likely to fly over his head.
“When the Southampton supporters were shouting “Wotsit” at me I didn’t even know what one was,” he admitted.
“They told me after the game what one was and that people in England they find it very funny.
“My hair has always been this colour so people always say stuff but I’ve had it all through my life.
“I prefer being called Adam but I don’t mind if the lads have a joke.
“I know it will be hostile at Burnley atmosphere because of the manager but I’m looking forward to it.
“I don’t care if supporters at away games say anything. I just hope we get through and I will get more chances to play in the cup.”
