Colne progressed into the First Round Proper of the FA Vase with a convincing win over their Cumbrian opponents thanks to second half strikes from Michael Cruz and Danny Boyle.
Nigel Coates’ side now face a difficult away tie at Irlam who knocked out Winsford United - the only team to defeat the Reds this season.
The Reds, kicking in to a strong wind, restricted their hosts to only two chances in the first half.
But, with the conditions in their favour after the break, Colne took full advantage.
Mark Threfall, Martin Broderick and Boyle all went close before Cruz blasted Colne in to the lead with a well struck volley.
Sam Hayes then fired just wide but Boyle capped an excellent performance to seal victory with a header at the back post.
