PADIHAM and Bacup have it all to do again on Wednesday night after the FA Vase second round qualifier ended all square at 1-1 despite playing 30 minutes of extra time.
The visitors had much the better of the first half and only the defiance of Storks keeper Sean Davis prevented Bacup from taking a early lead.
However, on 19 minutes Chris Ogunyode rewarded Borough’s early pressure by giving them the lead with a wonderful curling shot.
Bacup could have led by more at the break had it not been for the heroics of Davis in the Padiham goal who pulled off three top draw saves.
The Arbories outfit got more in to the tie after the break and built up a head of steam which was rewarded with a last minute equaliser by Paul Fildes when he turned in Andy Haworth’s low cross from close range.
Padiham took that momentum in to extra time but failed to convert any chances that came their way.
And after the teams could not be separated after 120 minutes of football, they meet again at West View on Wednesday night (ko 7.45pm).
