CHORLEY boxer Michael Jennings was beaten in his world title eliminator against Kell Brook tonight after a cut forced the referee to stop the fight in the fifth round.
Jennings made a slow start to the bout at Birmingham's LG Arena but had started to cause Brook problems by the time the fifth round started.
Brook then opened up a severe cut to Jennings' right eye, catching the Chorley man with an accidental elbow as he attempted an upper cut, and referee Terry O'Connor swiftly called a halt to the WBO inter-continental title fight.
