BURNLEY captain Graham Alexander insists the Clarets aren’t suffering a Premier League hangover and WILL find a remedy for their travel sickness.
Brian Laws’ men are bidding to take three points on their travels for the first time this season when they face Crystal Palace this afternoon.
If successful, it would be only their second league away win in 26 attempts.
But with the bulk of those games being played in the Premier League Alexander, insists the two seasons cannot be merged.
Despite a return of one point from a possible nine on the road so far, the 38-year-old is adamant Burnley are making a fresh start.
“The Premier League and the Championship are two different games to be honest, let alone divisions,” said the Scotland international.
“Our away games so far have been against tough teams, and we were down to 10 men against Ipswich and Swansea.
“There’s no hangover from last season at all in that. It’s just that we’ve been to tough places.
“It (away form) isn’t in the players’ minds.
“And you can’t really talk about form after a few games. It takes a bit longer than that.”
