BLACKBURN Rovers legend Colin Hendry has sold his luxury seaside mansion, it has been revealed.
The five-bedroom Georgian property, in Lytham, changed hands for a reported £1.7million.
Mr Hendry was forced to sell up the family home after being made bankrupt earlier this year after a successful application from an online bookmakers.
The former Scotland international and his late wife Denise brought up their four children at the house.
Denise died from a hospital infection in July last year, contracted following corrective surgery to repair a botched liposuction operation in 2002.
Mr Hendry has now started a new relationship with a 34-year-old businesswoman.
Speaking about his new relationship, Hendry said in a statement: “I met somebody not long ago.
“The majority of people who know what’s happened in my life will be sympathetic to any good news I have.
"To be honest it’s not something everyone will understand and get along with.
"But I have to decide what is best for me and my family and try to make the best decisions as I go along.”
