PRESTON North End goalkeeper Andy Lonergan seemed all fingers and thumbs – well, mostly fingers – during Saturday’s derby clash at Burnley.

Lonergan had a long-running ‘communication’ with the Burnley fans behind the goal, and was caught by our cameras making more than one gesture.

But the keeper had to be held back at the final whistle and shepherded off the pitch when Jay Rodriguez scored the late winner to make it 4-3.
