JONATHAN Fielding leads his Lancashire League champions Ramsbottom out at Church tomorrow with the aim of breaking a 30-year-old record at the end of a stunning season.
Fielding, who has 106 wickets so far this season, saw his Acre Bottom outfit crowned as champions last weekend and they go to West End in search of the record number of wins in a single season.
Last week they equalled the East Lancs mark of 22 wins out of 26 in 1980 and will enter the record books if they claim a win on another day of history.
Rammy opening bowler Mike Haslam needs two wickets to pass the 50 for the year mark, while Church wicket-keeper Sam Tucker is closing in on Joey Marcroft at the top of the victims chart.
Nelson have re-signed pro Burton de Wett for next season and he looks to finish 2010 off on a high as the Seedhillites travel to league runners-up Haslingden, while West Indian Test ace Brendan Nash plays his final game for East Lancashire as they entertain Lowerhouse at Alexandra Meadows.
Another professional leaving his club is Anwar Ali. The prolific Pakistani paceman has not be engaged by Colne for next season but he will want to go out on a high by adding to his 57 Lancashire League wickets in the Horsfield clash with Rawtenstall.
Rishton have their former amateur Richard Rostron as substitute professional in the game at Bacup, who themselves field John Chapman as sub-pro again, while Todmorden make the trip to Burnley.
And Accrington round-off the season with a derby with Enfield at Thorneyholme Road.
