CLITHEROE finished runner-up to Formby Ladies in the Lancashire Ladies Scratch Shield Finals, held at Pleasington on Monday.
The finals were contested by Clitheroe, Manchester, Formby Ladies and Haydock Park, the quartet qualifying as the top four from 22 clubs which had entered the matchplay competition.
In the morning semi-finals, Clitheroe beat Haydock Park, while Formby were victorious over Manchester.
Formby went on to land the finals title by beating Clitheroe in the afternoon final.

The 24-year-old finished one over par in her opening round in the French capital, seven shots off the leader, Sweden’s Linda Wessberg.
l Haydock Park member Louis Tomlinson became a first time winner in the Northern Order of Merit when he defeated host club player Matt Watts by a shot in the Derek Ingham Trophy at Rossendale.
l Holly Vizard of Pleasington won the Lady Derby Trophy held at Manchester Golf Club. She defeated Sue Warrington of Manchester at the 20th hole in the final.
