NEW signing Ross Wallace starts the Clarets' first pre-season friendly, at League Two Bury, this afternoon.

Right back Tyrone Mears is missing due to a tight hamstring, but is expected to be fit for Monday night's trip to Oldham Athletic.

Midfielder Chris McCann starts his first game since January, after having last season ruined by two separate knee injuries.
