RAMSBOTTOM must wait to find out who they will play in the final of the Worsley Cup after the Bacup v Colne semi-final could not be completed last night.

Michael Smith hit 94 as Bacup posted 219 on Sunday afternoon with Anwar Ali claiming 4-26 from his 10 overs.

There was also a good contribution from Tim Farragher, who made 35, as the home side posted a good total.

Colne resumed on 91-3 with 34 overs remaining after Jeff Ellis, Lewis Rimmer and Matt Wilson departed on Sunday.

Professional Ali steered them to 182-6 last night with 10 overs to go when the light became too poor to continue after two rain delays at Lanehead.

The game will now be played to a finish tonight.

Bacup seconds will play Church in the final of the Lancashire Telegraph Trophy after winning an enthralling tie at East Lancs.

The Blackburn side needed 70 from 10 overs with four wickets left when play was halted because of bad light on Sunday.

And when they needed 33 from the final three, it seemed to be game up.

But Andy Clague took 13 from the 47th and another run-laden over saw the Blackburn side needing nine from the final over.

But East Lancs fell four runs short with Clague stranded.
