LANCASHIRE’S stuttering FPt20 campaign suffered another blow yesterday as they were crushed by Derbyshire.

Batting first after winning the toss, the Red Rose were reeling at 22-5 and only 65 from Gareth Cross gave them any momentum.

Cross faced just 51 balls in his knock, while Glen Chapple made 21 as Lancashire posted 132-7 from their 20 overs.

That never seemed to be good enough and even after the early departures of former East Lancs pro Loots Bosman and Wes Durston didn’t really inspire the Red Rose.

Graham Park hit 50 and ex-Nelson pro Robin Petersen made 28 as Derbyshire strolled home with 11 balls to spare.

Lancashire will look to get back to winning ways tonight when they face Worcester Royals at Old Trafford.
