BLACKBURN Rovers’ stars returned to pre-season training yesterday at Brockhall – minus manager Sam Allardyce and a handful of international stars.
First-team regulars Chris Samba, David Dunn, Steven Nzonzi and Gael Givet were among those put through their early paces ahead of the new 2010/11 campaign.
However, a number of their international stars are still to return.
The likes of Morten Gamst Pedersen, Martin Olsson, Keith Andrews and Michel Salgado are set to be back before the club leave for Austria at the weekend.
But World Cup quartet Brett Emerton, Lars Jacobsen, Ryan Nelsen and Vince Grella aren’t expected back for duty until the club tour Austria towards the end of July.
