THERE could be little sympathy for Cristiano Ronaldo last night as he trudged out of the World Cup a broken man.
An undoubted genius on the pitch, whose big moment was ruined by a manager who only had defence on his mind.
But while most football fans would want the game's best to shine, there was surely a sense of justice among many as the Portuguese winker exited South Africa 2010.
All he did during the tournament was throw himself to the floor, moan at the officials and gurn towards the cameras. Same old Ronaldo then.
What goes around comes around. We all love a genius - look at Lionel Messi - we just aren't so keen on someone who believes he is better than all the rest.
