VUVUZELAS could be heard in East Lancashire next season as the area's three biggest football clubs have no plans to ban the horns.
The noise of the vuvuzelas, popular with South African fans during the World Cup, has divided opinion in Britain.
Tens of thousands of the horns have been sold but many players and armchair fans loathe them, claiming they drown out singing and chanting.
Blackburn Rovers said they would consult with fans before making a ruling.
Press officer Paul Agnew said: “We’re not convinced that they add to a matchday atmosphere but this is something new and we would take on board the views of the fans.
Burnley said club officials would "gauge the scale of their use during the forthcoming pre-season games before making a decision.”
Accrington Stanley chief executive Rob Heys said the Reds had no plans to ban the horns, but he did not expect vuvuzelas to become a feature of games at the Crown Ground.
He said: “To be honest, there wouldn't be any point having them here because they would be drowned out by our loud and proud Stanley Ultras behind the goal.”
